About

SarahHello! My name is Sarah and I am passionate about eating well and enjoying good food. I believe that healthy eating is a way of life and that we should enjoy fresh food that is wholesome and nutritious, not processed, altered and modified to fit into some fancy box.

I gave birth to a healthy baby boy in December 2009. Whilst I was pregnant my husband came up with the idea that I, as a Nutritionist and a soon to be mother, should keep a running document of our attempts to raise a healthy eater. There are endless opinions out there on the best way to feed babies and toddlers but I find it is the practical information that so many books and websites lack. How much should my baby be eating? What are the best first foods? How do I get my toddler to eat vegetables? Is my child drinking enough milk?

So our journey to raise our child with an appetite for fresh, tasty and healthy food begins. My aim is that over the next twelve months I will be able to put together a practical resource for other new parents on feeding their new baby in the first year. I invite you all to join us on our journey and I look forward to hearing from you about your attempts to raise your own healthy eaters.

I believe that optimum nutrition is a priceless gift we can give our children. Families should be encouraged back to the table to enjoy good food together. Children should be encouraged to explore and and enjoy different tastes and textures. Food and eating can be fun, enjoyable and healthy.

I am originally from Australia, however presently find myself living in Hong Kong with my husband and new baby. I hold of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science), a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition and a Masters in Human Nutrition.
